Assign follow-up tasks, notify users, and track incidents by person and location using model fields and dashboards.
There are two options:
If you would like a specific person to follow up on an action or incident, for example, you may create a model field (single choice linked to a user profile) in the form. The reporter will pick the name of the person responsible for the follow-up, or it can be configured to be pre-populated with a person's name depending on the chosen category. You can then set up a dashboard with an answer table and configure it so that only the selected person will see the incidents assigned to them for investigation.
The second option is to create a multi-choice model field, for example called “Watchers,” linked to user profiles. Here, the reporter can select a list of users who will track the progress of the incident. An answer table can also be set for the “Watchers” to monitor these incidents.
By using the model field (single or multiple choice), once the user is selected from the list, he or she will receive an email notification.
They also asked whether the assigned observations can specify the area in which they must be completed—for example, if handwashing is assigned to certain users, can it specify in which room they should perform the observation?
A model field with a list of rooms can also be added. This allows you to assign the observation to a user and also specify the room.
